March 2013 – My first mention in a book!
One of the people I admire the most professionally is Jennifer Holloway. I consider her my mentor(though we have never spoken for more than an email after that one time in Glasgow where she delivered a talk). I was honored that she liked my twitter description enough to include it in her book. She has a way with words and her book will make you look at yourself in a whole new light!

I went to speak to 6 young apprentices who had left school and had what some in society will call ‘an unpromising future’. Bright Purple Resourcing took them in to introduce them to the world of business and recruitment. The change they have experienced is amazing. I wanted to inspire them but ended up being inspired by them! Here are some pictures from the day

I was a semi-finalist in the Glasgow’s Got Business Talent competition during the Glasgow Business Week, pitching it Dragon’s style for my social enterprise idea: Enspirite. I didn’t go through to the final but got some amazing feedback on my pitch, pitching style and idea in general.
